7: E7 chord, Fingerpicking C scale and “Fur Elise”
In week 7 we learn the skill of fingerpicking (plucking one note at a time) and reading tablature. We’ll add one more chord as well: the E7 chord. Putting all of these skills together, we’ll learn to play several songs: the C scale, “Mary Had a Little Lamb” - fingerpicking style, and an excerpt from the classical piece “Fur Elise”, which integrates fingerpicking and playing chords. These are some excellent skills for you to practice and will allow you to play more dynamically. Happy practicing!
