Reviews from customers:

  • I enjoyed reading this to our three year old daughter, who just exclaimed to me last night, "Forever Riders is my favorite book!" She elaborated to say that she loves that it's about young girls who ride horses and are kind to one another. It has captured her imagination, as she now speaks OFTEN about riding horses. As my daughter's obsession with horses continues to grow and she eventually forces me to buy her a horse, I will be sending a bill to young author Jemma Swift.

  • From my daughter: I give this book so many stars. I love imaging the horses that the author describes. My favorite horse is S'more. I like how the girls are friends. I would like to be their friend and eat ice cream at Rainbow with them. I am just starting first grade now, but I hope I can write a book someday too. From me (mom): This is the first chapter book I have read out loud to my daughters and they love it. The scenes are described well and the dialogue is very natural, so it is easy for them to follow along in their imaginations. By talking about both friendship and horse situations, the book moves a long quickly and we have a hard time just reading a couple of chapters because we wanted to know what would happen next! I appreciate that they author is also a young person, which gives them inspiration. Thank you!

  • I liked this book. It isn't too long or too short. My favorite character was Jessie. There was an exciting part of the book where there was a trail ride near a cliff and it was my favorite part of the book. If there was a sequel, I would definitely read it.

    - Ivy, Age 10

  • After we got this book home, my 8 year old, who is a reluctant reader at times, couldn't put it down. She was reading it the whole evening before bed. I was so excited to find a good quality book that she enjoys!! My daughter says, "I like that the girls tell the truth even when it's hard. And I like the horses. The chapters are short, then it's a good stopping point. It's a good story and talks about the horses behavior." I think she can relate well to the young characters which makes it fun to read. My 10 year old daughter reads any chance she gets and she likes this book too. So it's a good fit for both of them. They hope the author writes another!
